JOB PURPOSE
This role is vital to the safe and effective delivery of plant production in ensuring that Instrumentation-Analyzers used in the plant is in a safe condition and meets safety and technical performance standards. The job holder performs normal and complex maintenance activities for company assets as per given tasks follow Company procedures, work instructions and/or guidelines.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Maintenance and Reporting
Carry out preventative or corrective maintenance including Calibration of normal and complex Instrumentation-Analyzers (Gas Chromatograph, Infrared Analyzers, Oxygen Analyzers, Laser Analyzers, Sample conditioning System, Analyzer Houses safety system, Liquid Analyzers, Laboratory Analyzers Maintenance, etc.) including process control systems or safety systems to ensure proper operating conditions of Company’s assets and adherence to technical performance standards.
• Troubleshoots, repair, collect relevant evidences for failure reporting & analysis and identify problems independently with minimal supervision on instrumentation, analyzers, process control systems or safety systems and report any abnormalities to direct Supervisor for further actions.
• Maintain and daily update maintenance logbook, history and any other relevant records.
• Performs time writing in SAP and work order confirmation for operations performed.
• Follow laid down Company's procedures, work instructions and/or guidelines. to undertake advanced installations, maintenance and troubleshooting in order to ensure the availability and reliability of the instrumentation, analyzers, process control systems or safety systems.
• Coach junior staff members and ensure proper know-how transfer within BOROUGE, perform the role of mentor for UAE national trainees.
• Manage single or team of body shop contractors for complex maintenance issues.
Safety, Health and Environment
• Issues permit to work.
• Arranges Tool-box talk to concern technicians and contractors prior to start the work.
• Maintain independently under minimal supervision for instrumentation, analyzers, process control systems and safety systems in a safe and environmentally sound manner to comply with all applicable local laws and regulations in accordance with company guidelines and HSE policy and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualification
• Essential academic degree is 3 years Diploma in Instrument / electronic / communication technical qualification.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in installation, repair, testing and maintenance of a wide range Instrumentation and analyzers of production facilities in refinery / petrochemical / Oil & Gas industries.
• Have maintenance Experience with DCS, PLC, and ESD systems.
• Thorough knowledge of HSE requirements for field maintenance jobs.
• Being able to Lead a team of direct hired & body shop technicians on the job,
• Have excellent safety record and a stable employment track record.
• Good communication and technical report writing skills in English.
