Job Description

The Role:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Host coordination meetings and assign issues to project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with client and Lead Appointed Party requirements.
  • Manage TIDP in collaboration with Project BIM Lead and Design Leads.
  • Train team members on BIM standards and technologies.
  • Coordinate BIM models for seamless integration across design disciplines.
  • Develop and refine BIM processes and templates.
  • Estimate and allocate appropriate time for BIM-related tasks.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in structural production and BIM processes.

Technical Expertise:


  • Proficient in 3D spatial coordination using coordination software/platforms, including managing and reporting issues such as clashes to project stakeholders.
  • Skilled in producing a variety of model outputs in alignment with the Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR), BIM Execution Plan (BEP), and Digital Plan of Work (DPoW).
  • Knowledgeable in delivering client and Lead Appointed Party metadata requirements, ensuring compliance.

Project Contribution:


  • Contributes to tender response activities, including reviewing BEP/EIR, conducting capability and capacity assessments, and completing PQQs.
  • Assists Project BIM Lead and Design Leads in managing the Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP).

Training & Development:


  • Provides training for project teams on BIM processes, model uses, and technologies.
  • Supports and mentors technicians on project-specific BIM requirements.

Collaboration & Coordination:


  • Works collaboratively with design disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Engages proactively with RBG design managers to develop strategies for BIM model coordination.

Process Improvement:


  • Contributes to the development and refinement of processes, procedures, and templates supporting BIM coordination and management.

Technical Knowledge:


  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards.
  • Skilled in BIM authoring software, including Revit and Tekla.
  • Experienced with BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks and Revizto.
  • Understanding of openBIM standards, including IFC and COBie.
  • Proficient in cloud-based collaboration platforms and CDE workflows, such as Aconex, BIM 360, and ProjectWise.
  • Experience with programming or visual programming tools (e.g., Dynamo or Grasshopper), with an awareness of computational and parametric BIM processes.

Additional Skills:


  • Contributes to time estimation for BIM-specific tasks.
  • Understanding and implementation of project-specific BEP based on best practices and RBG standards.
Required Qualifications & Memberships:

Education:


  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Professional Expertise:


  • In-depth understanding of BIM modeling and coordination.

Certifications:


  • Professional registration or certification (ideal but not mandatory).
