Role: Senior Technical Lead - Electronic Trade Solution
Location: Abu Dhabi
Role Purpose:
- Accountable for the production systems support within IT owned by Treasury Group – Electronic Trade Applications.
- Provide technical operational support and issues and problems resolution for assigned systems.
- Articulate and document business requirements for projects, change requests etc.
- Responsible for vendor service level and quality of development.
- Coordination between project and business teams during the execution of projects and tasks.
- Provide business with required technical support, assessments, and reports.
- Propose technical recommendations and improvements.
- Mitigate risks and close audit points if any on the applications and processes.
- Accountable for multiple initiatives and track projects/BAU requests/ CRs to closure.
- Closely monitor the incidents tickets and problem tickets and close them before the breach of SLA.
- Understand the latest technology trends and provide improvement suggestion in the products.
- Review the vendor proposal and provide feedback on the same to ensure the completeness of the scope and quality.
- Provide periodic reports and monthly updates on the ongoing initiatives to business and PMO.
- Follow-up with service teams/vendors for support issues and respond quickly to service tickets in a timely manner.
- Facilitate and UAT of projects, CRs by adhering to Quality control policies and guidelines.
- Support “go-live’ and post ‘go-live’ activities for projects and any releases to production.
- Provide First Line and Second Line Support to all the assigned applications.
Key Accountabilities of the role:
- Ensure assigned systems of responsibility (Electronic Trade) with high level of availability, performance and application security without any business impact or financial loss.
- Provide technical operational support and issues and problems resolution for assigned systems.
- Deliver IT projects and tasks assigned for the agreed scoped business requirements, within planned budget, and planned time.
- Comply with ADIB IT processes, and procedures.
- Ensure business continuity by conducting periodic system health check, DR rehearsal, security updates, technology updates, backups, hardware maintenance, software maintenance, license maintenance, and technical design improvement to assigned systems.
- Support requests of information, dashboards, MBLs and adhoc reports related to assigned systems.
- Maintain the service level of vendors support and quality of development.
- Improve awareness and keep knowledge up-to-date about supported systems and related IT technology solutions.
Communication:
- Attend all the team meetings, one to one meeting to have a high level of communication culture.
- Timely response to email, tasks assigned and diligent follow-up with various stakeholders.
- Prepare task status reports and submit to stakeholders on timely basis.
Documentation / Process Ownership:
- The incumbent is responsible to comply with ADIB documentation and process standards that are defined SDLC.
Information Security:
- Maintain information security related to ADIB, throughout the period of employment.
- Report any potential or actual risks or incidents affecting the security of information to the helpdesk.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge, Technical Competencies Required for this role:
Technical skills:
- Hands on experience for Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server.
- Microservices support and troubleshooting.
- Advanced excel, word and PowerPoint skills.
- Technical and Business analysis.
- Technical deployments in WebSphere and containerized environment having hands-on experience on Kubernetes, Docker images, and other containerization technologies.
- Experience in Unix/Linux/Windows server management for technical analysis & deployment.
- Microsoft Azure Cloud experience for infrastructure management.
- Knowledge in SFTP and File Transfer tools like Go Anywhere etc.
- Expertise in managing applications in .NET, Python & Java platforms.
- Ability to communicate effectively with IT specialists (e.g., IT security, network infrastructure teams, Unix, Windows etc.)
Specialist Skills:
- Hands on Experience of Treasury products, their workflow and life cycle.
- Proven track record of working experience minimum 5-7 years with Treasury implementations and solution delivery (Electronic Trade, Refinitiv, FX).
- Proven track record of working experience with Treasury Front, Middle, or Back Office functions
- Application software code analysis for trouble shootings
- Swift message format including MT9XX, MT1XX, MT3XX, MT6XX
- Experience in SDLC of Treasury applications.
- Experience in UAT and quality assurance processes.
- Results-oriented individual that is able to soak pressure and work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience:
- Electronic Trade, Refinitiv, FX and Banking domain knowledge is MUST.
- Extensive hands-on experience of systems integration, data processing, hardware platforms, databases, and application servers.
- Implementation and support of different treasury products for a multi-national bank
- Hands-on Experience in requirement definition and analysis, workshop facilitation and documentation.
- A good degree in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 7 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience of working in a Bank domain within Treasury Group (Preferably Islamic Banking).
