Job Description


JOB PURPOSE:
As a Project Services Planning subject matter expert, preforms deterministic and probabilistic schedule development, review, and tracking. Also, provides guidance and technical support with regards to projects planning and scheduling to project teams across ADNOC and Group Companies.
Acts as a reviewer and occasionally gatekeeper for Project Planning in the Value Assurance Process to ensure deliverability of ADNOC capital programs for all planning, scheduling and schedule risk analysis deliverables.
Support and occasionally lead the assurance of competence and assessments of project planning management.
Ensure adherence to ADNOC project standards and international best practice across the Group Companies and drives collaboration to ensure effective relationships across functions. Develops ADNOC Planning, scheduling and progress measurement standards, guidelines, and procedures.
Supports establishing and leads the ADNOC Group wide projects planning knowledge community as necessary


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Project Planning & Scheduling
• Supports group’s overall Planning and Scheduling project program, monitor alignment with defined targets and identify deviations and risks to be reported to the Manager, Planning & systems.
• Act as the custodian, and define detailed group-specific Planning policies, procedures, methodologies and tools in line with ADNOC guidelines and ensure their dissemination in the organization and compliance (e.g. Value Assurance Process).
• Provide technical expertise on project planning & scheduling whenever required on deterministic and probabilistic schedules and as part of the Value Assurance Process.
• Manages the accuracy, completeness, transparency and consistency of the reports / dashboard
• Ensure reports are distributed to and understood by all stakeholders
• Ensure key issues requiring Group Company Management / Shareholders attention are highlighted
• Participate in Schedule Risk Workshops and lead assessments of Schedule Risk Assessment Reports to ensure adherence to approved parameters.
• Supports Cost Estimate & Schedule assurance reviews (CESAR) and support Post Investment Reviews (PIR) post operational performance test completion.
• Participate in assurance audits and reviews (e.g. independent project reviews (IPRs)) to ensure robustness, accuracy and deliverability of baseline schedules and identify any opportunity to enhance overall value.
• Supports the development of planning and scheduling competency and career development program; in addition to establishing clear deployment guidelines with the objective of ensuring having the right capability for the success of the capital delivery program.
• Act as focal point for sharing lessons learnt across the Project Planning Community.
• Act as SME for both; Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) for probabilistic schedules as well as Deterministic Schedule Development, including but not limited to schedule mechanics checks.
• Drive knowledge sharing with the PMTs on planning methodologies, processes, templates, etc.


Project Systems
• Support the in the specification, identification, development, selection and implementation rollout to Group companies and maintenance of best-in-class processes, systems and tools including but not limited to PM portfolio and project-based software, PS cost and scheduling software to deliver successful and efficient project management & control systems across the ADNOC Group Companies
• Support the overall Project Management and Project Controls processes, systems, and tools; monitor alignment with defined targets and identify deviations and risks to be reported to the Head of Function.
• Develop detailed group-specific Project Management Systems Standards, Procedures, methodologies, and tools in line with ADNOC guidelines and ensure their dissemination in the organization and compliance.


Planning as a Project Services Function:
• Support the GPE US and DMT Verticals in controlling the individual project planning, applying company’s methodologies, processes and templates.
• Support the GPE US and DMT Verticals in overseeing project progress and performance, support timely identification of potential issues and mitigation actions across their respective portfolios.
• Support group companies’ projects in risk mapping to schedule activities.
• Support ‘Claims Committee’ in reviewing claims related to EOT submissions and carrying out forensic schedule analysis during disputes as required.
• Manage, develop and update the planning and scheduling aspects in preparation of periodic reports, provide the monthly report and key dashboard indicators to GPE stakeholders (other GPE Verticals).
• Provide the GPE US and DMT Verticals, and other GPE stakeholders with timely information about project performance.
• Participate to the regular PMT meetings; provide an overview on progress, risks, trends, etc. and addressing specific areas of concerns.


Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
• Supports the implementation of approved Planning & Scheduling Department policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures and internal controls in order to support execution of the Division work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
• Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function/ Division / Department/ Section in line with the Company Performance framework
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
• Supports innovation in planning in the organization by becoming custodian of new planning software or packages. This includes the implementation of those software.
• Propose improvements in internal planning, progress measurement and schedule risk analysis processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the Department.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
• Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures, systems & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Department in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably with an advanced professional degree in Project Management or Engineering.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
• 15 years of experience within Oil & Gas projects with extensive experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction project planning for Oil and Gas processing facilitates


Professional Certifications
• Certification in Project Management (PMP) or equivalent
