JOB TITLE: Senior Specialist – Corporate – CSR (6-month contract)

REPORTING TO:Manager – Corporate - CSR
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Our client is looking for someone to be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of advanced CSR initiatives across the group. A deep understanding of CSR practices and strategies is required, along with the ability to guide and mentor junior team members. In this role you will work closely with the CSR Manager and other stakeholders to ensure that CSR programs are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives and deliver measurable social, environmental, and economic impacts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
CSR Strategy Implementation:
- Execution of CSR strategies and initiatives that align with corporate objectives and values.
- Collaborate with the CSR Manager to enhance CSR policies, procedures, and frameworks across all clusters and units.
- Ensure CSR initiatives are designed to address key social issues, promote sustainability, and contribute to the company’s reputation as a responsible corporate citizen.
CSR Initiatives/Activities Leadership and Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of CSR initiatives/activities, ensuring they are delivered on time, and achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to CSR team members in the execution of their tasks, ensuring alignment with overall CSR objectives.
- Coordinate with various clusters to ensure the consistent application of CSR standards and practices across the group.
Advanced Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitoring the frameworks for CSR initiatives, ensuring that all activities are tracked, measured, and reported accurately.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on CSR performance, including impact assessments, progress against KPIs, and recommendations for future initiatives.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of key CSR reports, including the quarter and Annual CSR achievements report.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Maintain strong relationships with community organisations, NGOs, government entities, and other stakeholders to support and advance CSR initiatives.
- Represent the company at community events, conferences, and forums, advocating for CSR and community engagement initiatives.
- Communicate CSR achievements and challenges to internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and fostering trust.
- Support during the collaboration with external CSR partners and seek performance reports (sponsorships as well as donations).
Mentorship and Team Development:
- Support CSR team members, providing guidance and development opportunities to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
- Lead the design and delivery of training programs to build CSR capabilities across the organisation.
Resource Management and Optimisation:
- Assist the CSR Manager in managing the budget for CSR initiatives, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for donations, sponsorships, and partnerships to enhance CSR programs and community outreach efforts.
Awards and Certification:
- Recognise and nominate the company for relevant CSR awards, ensuring the company’s achievements are acknowledged and celebrated within the industry.
- Stay up to date with CSR certifications and standards, ensuring that the company’s CSR practices meet or exceed these benchmarks.
- Lead the process of obtaining and maintaining CSR-related, such as ISO 26000 (Social Responsibility) or other relevant standards.
Team Management:
- Work closely with the CSR Manager and HR to develop and design training programs for CSR personnel.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of CSR team members, ensuring they are equipped to deliver on the company’s CSR objectives.
- Define individual KPIs for CSR team members, align with corporate CSR and sustainability goals, and conduct performance evaluations.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of the CSR vision and long-term strategy, ensuring alignment with international best practices and corporate objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of CSR initiatives/activities, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE:
- Fluency in English and Arabic is essential.
- Capable of applying specialist and knowledge to tasks to the necessary level of expertise.
- Experience in managing CSR initiatives/activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools.
- Able to communicate with other teams.
- Administration skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in a CSR role, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership position.
- Bachelor’s degree in CSR, Sustainability, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of international CSR standards and best practices.
