Cyber Security experience is required for this role
Management
- Supervise and manage the entire CNS Team to perform the required day to day works to a high standard at SZC as well as remote air navigation facilities.
- Plan, organize and co-ordinate the functions and activities of the CNS Department to deliver an effective and responsive service to ATM operations.
Project Planning and Installation
- Ensure proper planning and scheduling of activities on projects to ensure timely completion.
System & Service Provision
- Prioritizing tasks relating to preventive maintenance and issues resolution with view to ensuring continuity of services.
Technology and System Upgrades
- Ensure that system and technology related upgrades are done as per guidelines.
Communication with external parties
- Communicate maintenance and faults related issues with relevant parties to ensure resolution in the most optimal manner.
Records and Documentation
- Ensure that all documentation related to system outage rectification and maintenance is recorded and documented as per guidelines for any use or reference.
Technical Assistance
- Provide technical support to CNS staff and minor repairs and ensure all systems are functioning as per specified standards.
- Perform ancillary duties during absence of other shift workers to ensure that full support to end users is provided.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Recommend improvements to departmental policy and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
Reporting
- Ensure that all functional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet GCAA requirements and quality standards.
Health, Safety and Environment within GCAA
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude as per IMS available standards.
Other Tasks/ Accountability
- Perform additional tasks relevant to the role / area of expertise as requested by the management to be able to achieve the objectives/commitments.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A recognized bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent; with 7 years’ experience in Cyber Security, data processing, modern Air Traffic Radar Display and VHF/UHF communication systems or in a relevant environment Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
