Job Description
The Senior Soft Services Supervisor plays a key leadership role in managing and coordinating all soft service functions across one or multiple school sites. This includes overseeing housekeeping, pest control, landscaping, waste management, and hygiene services. The role ensures that services are delivered to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and compliance while aligning with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of all soft service activities across assigned school facilities.
- Oversee and manage soft services staff and subcontractors, ensuring consistent performance and service quality.
- Develop and implement service schedules, inspection plans, and improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards specific to school environments.
- Liaise closely with school management, ensuring timely resolution of service-related concerns and requests.
- Monitor and control inventory, ordering supplies and equipment in line with operational needs and budget controls.
- Participate in tender evaluations, contractor selection, and vendor performance reviews.
- Train and mentor junior supervisors and team members, promoting high service standards and continuous improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on service performance, incident logs, and KPIs for management review.
- Support the planning and execution of soft services during school events, seasonal transitions, or emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in soft services, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or senior supervisory role, preferably within school facilities.
- Strong leadership, team management, and conflict-resolution skills.
- In-depth knowledge of hygiene, cleaning protocols, and safety practices within a school or similar setting.
- Experience with CAFM systems and reporting tools is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
