Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Purchasing and Inventory Management in-charge who will oversee all aspects of the supply chain management and inventory control. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless and timely flow of orders throughout the supply chain (Manufacturing to end users) Whilst, optimizing inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with manufacturers, and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor supply chain performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand without overstocking.
- Implement inventory control procedures, including regular stock audits and reconciliation.
- Use inventory management software to track and manage stock movements, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Vendor and Supplier Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve favorable terms for the company.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
Skills
Qualifications:
- University Degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Proven experience in trade finance and supply chain management in construction or related industry.
- Strong understanding of trade finance instruments and supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical presence at the Distribution Center on a regular basis to ensure an organized operation of the distribution center
- Must have excellent English communication skills and people skills.
This is a Senior role, and the appropriate Candidate will be compensated accordingly.
