Job Description

DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS


  • Being responsible for the engineering, preparation, and execution of major EPC oil & gas projects.
  • Preparation and submission of engineering design, method statements, and specific procedures in line with client requirements.
  • Preparation and submission of the as-built drawings and data in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and take necessary follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate with the trades and project management team for various engineering and design requirements of the project.
  • Advise the project team on the various technical issues as a result of project execution as regards to class and standard engineering practice, more specifically on clash checks.
  • Liaisons with the client, class, and third party on engineering requirements.
  • Monitoring the progress of the project engineering deliverables, participating in coordinating activities in the field, optimizing, and fine-tuning where necessary in support of the project management.
  • Taking care of the ad hoc needs of the project and actively responding to questions from the project management.
  • Maintain and update the project engineering document register, schedule, execution plan, manpower histograms, and progress charts.
  • Maintain separate records of sample drawings issued by the client for easy reference.
  • Supervise, maintain, and update the yard engineering deliverables list and schedule.
  • Submission of engineering status reports for weekly and monthly progress meetings.
  • Ensure the timely receipt of client engineering details so as not to hamper smooth construction and highlight the requirement of critical documents in advance.
  • Support bidding projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION


  • B.Sc. in Mechanical/Civil / Chemical Engineering from an internationally recognized university.
  • Project Management.
  • Proficient with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, AutoCAD.
  • 10+ years relevant experience in a reputed engineering company (EPC scope).
  • Broad engineering knowledge in marine/offshore construction/new technologies in EPC scope.
  • Familiarity with project management systems, applicable international engineering codes and standards, and project specifications.
  • Experience with risk management, change management, interface management, planning, and cost control systems.
  • Strong project/contract management, communication, reporting, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and successfully execute tasks in accordance with business objectives.
  • Project management and planning skills.
  • Proven ability to manage project teams in a major project environment.
  • Fully trained and knowledgeable with relevant safety and occupational health & safety standards.
