Role Summary:
The Senior Product Manager will report to the Commercial Lead – Local Representatives MEA
This role will lead the development and implementation of the marketing strategy in Local Representatives MEA countries for Opdivo, Yervoy, Opdualag and Reblozyl
The individual taking this role will work with cross-functional teams, including the distributors & Local Representatives in those countries, to ensure alignment, prioritization, and appropriate resource allocations
This position has a key role in the business strategy and overall financial success of the Local Representatives MEA
Key Responsibilities:
Understand the overall business including business trends and BMS corporate strategy and contribute with business strategy execution in close interaction with Cross Functional Team and Local Representative
With the support of Local Representative developing the annual brand planning to optimize sales, market shares, while demonstrating superior forecasting analysis and control of brands expenditures
Develops and implements innovative marketing strategies and tactics, ensuring completion on a timely basis and within agreed budgets
Analyses trends, threats, and opportunities in the marketplace. Translates these trends & Opportunities in terms of long-term business implications
Exhibit a best-in-class level of disease, product, and indication knowledge, including competitor products
Initiate, build, and maintain strong relationships with KOL’s to create positive impact and change to attainment of business objectives and targets
Interacts and builds strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders both internal and external
Works with Access Team & Local Representative to always ensure favourable pricing and reimbursement situations
Work with relevant stakeholders to develop depth understanding of Life Cycle Plan and deliver specific actions/programs to support prioritized business opportunities
Trains and develops Local Representative team, as appropriate, on product/competitor knowledge and differentiation messages to the customers
Ensure full compliance with laws, regulations, and BMS Standards of Business Conduct and Ethics
Role Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a Pharmaceutical / Medical field
Business School degree or MBA is preferred
Experience and Knowledge:
10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience within competitive therapeutic field, oncology / hematology
Minimum 3 years of Marketing experience (or similar management level role)
Demonstrated track record of success in launching and commercialization product(s) with high integrity while focusing on execution
Ability to lead the development and implementation of innovative strategic and tactical plans with in-depth knowledge of marketing and sales and reasonable knowledge on field medical and access fundamentals
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders successfully and effectively
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and success in effectively communicating and influencing decisions with senior management
Proven history of seeking out new information and learning quickly – ability to absorb new concepts, analyze data and ask insightful questions to make effective decisions-experiments
Knowledge and understanding of pricing & reimbursement, outcomes research, regulatory affairs, payor management
Broad and in-depth understanding of local and regional challenges relative to the pharmaceutical industry
Demonstrated use of communication and change management strategies/tactics to influence new ways of thinking and working
Strong project management, analytical and forecasting skills
Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to create energy and excitement
Knowledge of financial principles and how to manage budgets, control expenses and manage product performance
Excellent command of oral and written English and Arabic
Travelling is required.
