SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

As Senior Process Engineer position you provide advanced technical expertise and leadership in the design, optimization, and implementation of process engineering solutions within the oil and gas industry. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all process engineering projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards, meeting client specifications and industry regulations. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the successful delivery of innovative and effective process solutions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage process engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
• Develop and review process design documents, including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Conduct process simulations and optimization studies using advanced software tools.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Perform process hazard analysis (PHA) and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation activities.
• Prepare and present technical reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be available to join immediately.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in process engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Proven track record of successfully leading process engineering projects.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II).
• Experience with process safety management (PSM) and process hazard analysis (PHA).
• Familiarity with relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
