About the job SENIOR PLANNING ENGINEER(MEP)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of MEP works. This role requires a strong understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, advanced planning tools, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including resource allocation and critical path analysis.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure plans align with project requirements.
  • Track project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and delay analyses.
  • Identify risks, delays, and bottlenecks, proposing mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate with project managers to define manpower, material, and equipment requirements.
  • Monitor productivity and performance against the planned schedule.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely approvals and smooth project execution.
  • Attend meetings to provide schedule inputs and updates.
  • Develop schedules and monitor progress using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
  • Maintain and update project dashboards for senior management.
  • Ensure project plans comply with contract terms, industry standards, and quality requirements.
  • Document lessons learned and maintain historical data for future projects.

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in project planning, preferably in MEP contracting or construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methodologies, and project management principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with contractual terms and delay analysis techniques.
  • PMP or PSP certification is a plus.
