We are currently recruiting for a Senior Officer – Underwriting (Aviation) for one of our Insurance client to be based out of their Abu Dhabi office.

Job Purpose:

Handle customer/broker requests, enquiries and complaints relating to “COMPANY’S” products and services in order to ensure delivery of high quality service to customer (including quality checking) in issuance of documents like quotation slip, policy, endorsements, certificates to the customers/brokers etc. in compliance with set policies and procedures. Also issuing R/I slips, endorsements and closings as required.

Job Responsibilties:

Policies, Processes & Procedures:

  • Communicate the requirement of operational procedures and instructions and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.

Day- to-day operations:

  • Plan and implement the day-to-day operations of Underwriting/Customer Services, under the supervision of the Manager – Aviation UW, to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established standards and procedures.

 Unit Planning:  

  • Plan the work for the unit, ensuring that work is distributed effectively while prioritizing the activities of the unit in such a way so as to deal with critical matters and time-bound assignments effectively.
  • Maintain overall quality of work in the department and ensure that customer expectations are fulfilled effectively.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

Customer Services Operations:

  • Receive, evaluate submissions on new and renewal business within authority.
  • Ensure consistent, accurate and high quality customer service for all types of transactions for the services.
  • Deliver the service according to predefined SLAs.
  • Monitor inflow and outflow of business requests and ensure they are handled according to “COMPANY’S”'s quality standards.
  • Key-in information and complete the new business transactions.
  • Adjust information and complete the endorsement transactions.
  • Assist branches in completing their transactions.
