We are currently recruiting for an Senior Officer Commercial Lines Claims for our client to be based out of their Abu-Dhabi office.

Job Purpose:

To handle day-to-day commercial lines claims settlement process, ensure quality of data input into the computer system, word processing documents and preparation of periodical Claims Statistics whilst ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures and set company quality standards, and guidelines.

  • Receives claims from the relevant parties.
  • Review Policy copy for new claims and checks the pertinent policy coverage details.
  • Identifying valid and invalid claims during the course of scrutiny as above. After the same is completed, to provide for registration of the claims under the Policy to Pool.
  • To bring to the notice of Supervisor/ Assistant Manager/ Manager the invalid claims falling in the excluded category and identified by them during assessing for appropriate action/ rejection.
  • Appointment of Loss Adjusters after discussing with Supervisor/Assistant Manager/ Manager and subsequent approval from EVP- Claims.
  • Prepares reserve update sheets when required for necessary revision of reserves in the system and submits file for approval as per procedure.
  • Prepares reserve and status updates to Facultative Reinsurers.
  • Prepares Claims Statistics for the U/W Departments / Management Information System, as and when required under guidance from Line Manager/Supervisor.
  • Prepare payment trackers to Finance after issuance of Claim Credit Notes.
  • Complete data entry for Claims Settlement Credit / Debit and submit to Supervisor for approval.
  • Organizes Daily Reported Claims bordereau for the Dept.
  • Organizes periodic transfer of closed files to the store.
  • Assist Supervisor/Assistant Manager/Manager to prepare high-level statistics for the management.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Claims management process and documentation including investigation of claims.
  • Efficiency in handling customer queries and broker handling.
  • Knowledge to understand and interpret pertinent policy coverage details as well as Survey Reports
  • The ability to investigate claims with a fair ability to analyze prediction elements, and transaction trends and detect early warning signals of potential frauds.
  • A fair knowledge of the Reinsurance claim management process and documentation.
  • Compilation of MIS reports and Analysis.
  • A fair understanding of the Regulatory requirements
