Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer to manage and optimize our network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the configuration, security, and performance of routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Additionally, you will ensure the continuous monitoring of network traffic, implementing advanced security protocols to safeguard against anomalies or breaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full operation of the network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Implement and monitor network security protocols to detect malicious activities or vulnerabilities.
- Ensure high availability by applying redundancy solutions (BGP, VRRP, HSRP) to minimize downtime.
- Manage secure remote access through VPNs, supporting employees across various locations.
- Conduct regular capacity planning and bandwidth analysis to accommodate peak usage.
- Integrate network operations with cloud-based solutions for seamless on-premise and cloud connectivity.
- Perform regular network health checks and audits, addressing vulnerabilities and enhancing performance.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to troubleshoot and optimize network operations.
- Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
- Keep network infrastructure updated by applying patches and remediating vulnerabilities.
Required Experience & Certifications:
- 10+ years of experience in network administration in complex, enterprise-level environments.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, and specialized security credentials (e.g., Cisco CyberOps, CompTIA Security+).
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, VPN, SD-WAN) and security protocols (IPSec, SSL/TLS).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in maintaining network equipment (Cisco, Fortinet, Dell, etc.).
- Familiarity with network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC) and network monitoring tools (e.g., SNMP).
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
