Job Description

Responsibleto supervise corrective / preventive maintenance of the MEP Equipment installedin the DIA Facility including coordination with the relevant sections in DA andexternal authorities along with troubleshooting of the same.

§Ensure completion of the routine checks and PPM Tasks activities related to the MEP Systems.



§Performs preventive maintenance, repairs and/or replaces assigned HVAC equipment, including pneumatic and electronic



§Diagnoses, troubleshoots refrigeration and air conditioner equipment and makes necessary repairs



§Operates, diagnoses, analyzes and records findings on all HVAC equipment including boilers, chillers, pumps, motors, air handling units and cooling towers



§Inspects fire and smoke alarm systems regularly, making necessary minor adjustments and making recommendations for major adjustments to the supervisor



§Diagnoses, troubleshoots electrical failures and issues, makes necessary repairs and/or works with contractors to solve issues



§Creates, and edits control schedules for the campus HVAC system



§Analyzes future projects to assure all MEP has been captured for the project and reports these finding to supervisor



§Compiles information with concerns to deferred maintenance; (Age of equipment, numbers of break downs, annual cost to maintain)



§Inspects jobsites to assure all MEP has been properly installed



§Ensures proper safety procedures are complied with as per company policies and procedures



§Monitors, implements and coordinates provisions of the premises emergency management plans



§May perform generator service and maintenance, including but not limited to: oil filters, electrical connections and hydraulic components



§Ensures the building is ready in all areas of assigned responsibility to include: lights, general maintenance and HVAC; replacing lamps and ballasts as needed



§Contributes to a safe educational and working environment by participating in all drills and training and being prepared to take action should a health or safety emergency occur



§Perform other duties as assigned.



§Assist supervisor in report preparation.





Education/Qualifications


  • Secondary School Certificate (10th Standard) is a must and Higher Secondary School Certificate (12th Standard) is desirable.
  • 6 months Vocational Education in the Relevant Trade OR 1 year/ 2 years ITI is a must. 

Skills/ Competencies/ Experience


  • 6 months Vocational Education – 6- 7 years relevant experience.

    §1 year ITI – 5 - 6 years relevant experience.


    §2 years ITI – 3 – 5 years relevant experience.


  •      Reliability, Commitment and Flexibility.


  • Attention to Detail, Service Orientation
  • Technical problem Solving.
  • Customer Service Orientation
  • Basic communication skills in English and knowledge in other languages will be an advantage.

§Must be in the age group between 25 and 35 years of age.


§Must be physically fit to perform the required job.
