Job Description

Job Summary:


The Senior MEP Engineer will lead the design review, coordination, and implementation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for construction projects. This role involves overseeing the integration of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing technical expertise to project teams.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Project Leadership: Manage MEP engineering projects from planning through to execution, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Design and Coordination: Review detailed mechanical designs, specifications, and plans for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Supervision: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring they meet project requirements and safety standards.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all MEP work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Documentation: Prepare and review technical drawings, reports, and documentation.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior MEP engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with the company’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies.

Additional Requirements:


  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • This role is essential for ensuring the successful integration and performance of MEP systems in construction projects, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency

Qualifications

Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a focus on mechanical systems in construction projects.

Skills:


  • Strong project management skills, proficiency in MEP design software, excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Certifications:


  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
