Role Overview
As the Treasury Senior Manager, you will be based in Dubai, overseeing Treasury activities across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. In this critical role, you’ll ensure our dynamic customer base has access to the right currency, in the right place, at the right time. You will lead a diverse international team, focusing on cash management and FX risk management, while contributing to the company's growth and success.
Role Responsibilities
·Responsible for managing team members in our regional Treasury offices including staff in Singapore, Morocco and Lithuania.
·Support employees by establishing clear goals and providing appropriate feedback to ensure a motivated and engaged team.
·Oversee international cash management operations with a focus on cash concentration, minimizing excess cash balances, ensuring appropriate working capital and maximizing interest income.
·Build, grow and oversee international bank relationships to ensure we have the correct banking services to support our business including expanding cash lodgment services across Europe.
·Negotiate, benchmark and monitor bank fees to ensure fair pricing for Treasury services.
·Drive the identification and quantification of foreign exchange risks and execute foreign exchange contracts (spot/forward/swaps) to mitigate currency exposures.
·Manage and benchmark the wholesale FX rates used to price consumer money transfers.
·Own group policies and procedures and ensure a strong control environment.
·Configure and maintain information in corporate Treasury Workstation.
·Leverage automation and process improvement tools (e.g. Power Automate, Alteryx, etc) to optimize cash and FX risk management operations, reduce manual work, and minimize errors.
·Develop a deep understanding of Western Union’s products and services and how Treasury operations interacts and supports each product and service.
·Become a key resource to help educate various groups around the company regarding Treasury concepts.Support the business teams to help solve complex problems and drive revenue growth.
·Create and distribute various reports to key stakeholder groups.
Requirements
·Experience in cash and FX risk management.
·Expertise in global payment systems.
·Demonstrated critical thinking and evaluation skills.
·Strong leadership, problem solving, relationship management, and communication skills.
·Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
·Strong attention to detail.
·Experience managing geographically dispersed team preferred.
·Experience with software tools including Treasury workstations, Excel and other automation software packages.
·MBA, Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred.
