What’s On Your Plate?
Operational Oversight: Monitor logistics for new verticals (groceries, non-food) and tExpress, focusing on performance improvement and problem-solving
Strategic Initiatives: Identify improvement opportunities, leverage logistics products to decrease frictions at order handover, and explore new business models with an emphasis on innovation like drone delivery.
Project Management: Manage complex projects across various lines of business, ensuring successful implementation from initiation to deployment. This includes overseeing project planning, stakeholder management, budgeting, and risk management.
Special Projects and Innovation: Identify and lead significant projects with the potential to transform quick commerce operations. Create compelling cases for these initiatives, securing buy-in from key stakeholders across the organization.
Collaboration and Leadership: Work with country heads and teams across regions to execute plans, resolve issues, and capitalize on structural opportunities. Influence stakeholders and invest in team growth through active training and development.
Technology Coordination: Collaborate with tech partners to troubleshoot and enhance logistics technology. Develop a deep understanding of these technologies to adapt and refine them according to the fast-paced requirements of quick commerce, driving innovation and operational efficiency.
What did we order:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for majors in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or equivalent work experience in compliance or auditing
Work experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational roles within fast-paced environments. Track record in the FoodTech logistics sector is a plus. Management consulting experience is also considered a significant advantage
Organizational Skills: Extremely organized and process-driven, with a proven ability to manage a heavy workload effectively by setting priorities and managing expectations well
Leadership and Management: Management experience is advantageous, with the ability to effectively manage direct reports and foster a strong team culture.
Communication Skills: Strong English written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging across a diverse set of stakeholders, Arabic is good to have but not necessary.
Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to dig into detail, manage complexity, and drive decision-making
Technological Proficiency: Highly proficient in Google Office suite
Analytical Abilities: Advanced proficiency in GSheet, demonstrating a strong analytical skill set. Ability to reason analytically, logically, and in a consistent fashion
