Job Description

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Support the Head of Internal Audit and Reporting Manager to develop and execute a risk-based audit plan covering all aspects of real estate projects and the customer lifecycle.
  • Measure performance against set targets for the internal audit function.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and senior operational management to stay informed about business activities and objectives.
  • Oversee, coordinate, and provide input for audits conducted by in-house staff or co-sourced partners.
  • Develop audit scope, work programs, and testing plans.
  • Identify audit automation areas after each audit and collaborate internally with the Director of IT Audits for the implementation of suggested automations and continuous control monitoring systems.
  • Prepare clear and detailed audit reports for communication of findings to appropriate management levels.
  • Assist in the preparation of clear and concise communication of audit processes and findings for senior management and the risk committee.
  • People Management - Closely monitor and ensure the achievement of defined goals and KPIs for internal audit staff and manage their performance. 
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to develop team capabilities. 
  • Ensure team possesses the necessary skills and knowledge to complete audit assignments. 
  • Support in developing and implementing training programs for internal audit staff.

MINIMIUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related field. 
  • Civil or mechanical engineering background is highly desirable. 
  • A relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, or CISA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in auditing of Capital Projects in Real Estate / Construction / Infrastructure sectors is critical in this role.  
  • Ensure appropriate audit coverage while maintaining high professional standards as outlined by the Internal Audit Charter and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
  • Demonstrated understanding of real estate construction projects and customer lifecycles.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
