About our Team


As a Senior Manager for Market Strategy, Middle East and Africa, you will develop and execute viable market strategies for ICIS solutions based on sound understanding of customers and the value of ICIS data.


About the Role


ICIS is seeking a dynamic market expert with a strategic mindset and strong analytical skills to play a key role in growing ICIS business in the Middle East and Africa. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with commercial teams and a diverse group of stakeholders to shape and execute ICIS’s market strategy, driving penetration and adoption of our data. The role provides many opportunities to work on exciting projects with a team of like-minded professionals from whom you can learn and grow.


Responsibilities:


  • Translate global growth strategies to the region across ICIS products/services by developing and implementing regional/country growth plans, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Deliver revenue growth with Sales & Marketing via targeted strategies and plans.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritise regional growth opportunities by country and market including uncovering new business areas, target markets and developing business cases based on market size, competitor landscape and ICIS positioning.
  • Design and execute strategies for key associations, government bodies, exchanges across chemicals/energy/sustainability with cross functional teams.
  • Collaborate with the strategy team to identify business opportunities and threats, potential targets for commercial partnerships and/or M&A activity in the region.

Requirements:


  • Regional Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of industry (preferably energy and chemicals), companies, and markets in the region; leveraging this knowledge to craft effective regional plans.
  • Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Possess strong analytical skills and experience to develop and execute robust market strategies that drive growth and success.
  • Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to influence people across multiple functions using data to ensure successful outcomes. Be curious and willing to challenge the status quo to provide improved business outcomes.
  • Relationship Building: Continuously nurture and strengthen relationships with industry influencers, proactively identify opportunities for collaboration.
