General Description:
The main purpose of the Senior Manager, Field Value & Access will be establishing BeiGene products’ value proposition, and achieving the market access, pricing & reimbursement objectives in the region/country by the proper implementation and adaptation of the global/regional access strategies/frameworks and while supporting the local commercial teams.
The role requires an excellent command and deep understanding of the different healthcare systems in the GCC region, together with an excellent ability to analyze trends, insights generations that supports the creation of value for payers and different stakeholders in the region. While achieving fast and sustainable access of BeiGene innovative medicines to patients.
Ensure earliest market access that reflects on patients’ benefits for products in therapy areas under his/her responsibilities.
Leads and works closely with key sectors/centers in his/her area of responsibilities to understand and elicit the Access/Reimbursement requirements and to propose and implement the necessary strategies and actions to address these requirements.
A sound understanding of the products’ key value messages, value proposition and proper communication to ensure meeting the needs of local stakeholders.
He/She will play a key role in the establishment of BeiGene as a valued collaborator and best-in-class biopharmaceutical company.
The position has a scope of GCC countries that includes United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain.
This position reports to the MENA Public Affairs and Access Solutions Director and will be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Essential Functions of the job:
• Understand, digest, tailor-fit and disseminate Global/Regional Market Access strategies in key countries
• Drive proper patient access strategies to support the GCC region to deliver fast, innovative and sustainable access to BeiGene’s existing portfolio and new launches
• Drive the development of localized value proposition plans in countries with best in class pharmaco-economic tactics and tools and with adapted real-world evidence programs whenever applicable and needed
• Localize and implement Global strategies in access, pricing, health economics and outcomes research, key account management and other access-related activities
• Provide Market Access input into financial planning cycles with reliable analyses of price-volume impacts and key Market Access risks and opportunities
• Foster cross-regional collaboration and dissemination of best practices regionally and globally
• Drive capability building, upskilling initiatives and operational excellence in countries
• Identify and communicate evolutions and trends in healthcare environment with potential impact on pricing, reimbursement, formulary listing and value assessment.
• Drive patient access stakeholder engagement plans, connecting and building partnerships with key access opinion leaders and facilitating regional projects and initiatives
• Drive/develop business cases, requests and strategy, and coordinate with global teams to grant approvals
• Provide input in relevant regional/global forums by co-shaping strategies and tactics
• Developing local pricing strategies, aligning with regional/global ones, anticipating future market dynamics and ensuring that these are reflected in product development process
• Identify new business/pricing options for key brands. Optimize price throughout the life cycle across portfolio
• Ensure local tenders are strategically managed in order to optimize profitability and meet business priorities to enhance access for innovative medications
• Efficiently negotiate prices, reimbursement as well as listing, locally
• Drive patient affordability programs (PAP) in the region, to make sure the programs achieving the agreed KPIs internally and externally.
• Drive the creation and the implementation of any new idea to enhance the accessibility of patients facing financial barriers to Beigene innovative medications
Stakeholder landscaping:
• Mapping of key stakeholders and thought leaders in the new Launches Portfolio under his/her responsibilities from market access prospective to Ensure Rapid Patient Access.
• Understand views and needs of key stakeholders, prescribers & patients.
Build networks and create disease awareness for brand-value communication:
• Create stakeholders’ awareness about burden of illness, unmet needs and keep them updated.
• Collaboration and long-term partnership with key stakeholders Internal and External.
• Ensure the compliance executions of Access Programs signed in each country.
• Communicate internally with the Pricing strategy Per Country and selected Accounts.
Evidence of product value:
• Understanding and knowledge of diseases area and products of his/her responsibilities and analysis of treatment pattern & unmet needs.
• Communicate and Support the Developed locally adapted Health Economics models supporting the brand value proposition & health economics differentiation from other treatments.
• Review & local adaptation products’ value dossier, evidence-based differentiation strategies and Identify data gaps to support future strategies with alignment of The HEOR Regional Team.
Field activities:
• Planning & field visits to stakeholders following health care compliance guidelines to meet the needs for patients’ access to products in geographical and disease areas of responsibilities.
Requirements
• Gulf countries’ experience is a must
• Native Arabic and Fluent English language
• At least 2 years of field access experience in Oncology/Hematology is a must.
• A minimum of 7 years’ industry/ business experience, within different functional areas, sales, marketing, medical and/or market access with proven cross-functional leadership without authority and brand management experience.
• Strong in building bridges and alliances across functional and regional boundaries to deliver value
• Existing experience in Medical Affairs within other biotech/pharmaceutical companies.
• Solid experience in Hematology/Oncology is a must
• Awareness of pharmaceutical industry codes, policies and local regulations.
• Regional geographical experience is required i.e. has a solid experience in GCC countries
