Senior Manager - Data Engineering Architect

As the Data Engineering Architect, you will lead all data engineering initiatives from strategy to execution, combining technical expertise with leadership.

You'll design scalable, real-time platforms & pipelines and drive best practices in tooling, ingestion, transformation, and analytics enablement.

Description
Architect, design, and implement scalable data pipelines with a focus on real-time ingestion and processing.Showcase expertise in designing and implementing scalable data platforms using PySpark.Manage the end-to-end data engineering lifecycle-from strategy, ingestion, transformation, storage, and governance to delivery and monitoring.Develop and lead the data engineering strategy, selecting appropriate tools and technologies aligned with business needs.Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with business goals.Optimise data pipelines and workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.Ensure data quality, security, and compliance standards are maintained across all processes.Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.


Profile
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics or equivalent.At least 10 years of managerial experience, demonstrating strong leadership in mentoring, communication, decision-making, and project management.In-depth understanding of Big Data technologies, with hands-on experience in tools and languages like Python, R, Spark, and NoSQL.Strong understanding of data modeling, governance, and storage solutions.Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams with a focus on agility and continuous improvement.Hands-on experience with big data platforms and cloud-based infrastructure.Excellent problem-solving skills with a solution-driven mindset.Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a focus on collaboration and stakeholder management.
