Job Requirement
KBR is looking for a Senior Lifting Engineer with Onshore/Offshore experience to be based in Indonesia for an EPC project.
Experience required:
- Hold bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Have relevant oil & gas offshore and onshore lifting related experience of not less than 15+ years with a minimum of 3 years in a similar position.
- Have adequate training and hands-on professional experience and be competent to act as a Single Point Authority for lifting equipment.
- Have professional qualification in ISO 9000 like Lead Auditor or similar bodies with sufficient experience in Quality Management Systems.
- Be able to write Lifting plans, supervise and execute critical lifting in oil & gas companies.
- Have focus on HSE priorities and lead a team of engineers for Safe Lifting Practices across different locations of the organization.
- Be familiar with international standard related to Lifting engineering practices with sufficient knowledge in interpretation and to bring excellence in Change management.
- Be trained to the 4-day course of Appointed Person in addition to the 4-day course of Lifting Supervisor by an Approved Training Company and Tutor and successfully pass the applicable exams from Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA, UK) or equivalent.
Competency:
- Assess critical lifting requirements in terms of site preparation, lifting equipment and personnel.
- Attends the risk assessment meeting, and address the risks, by identify the resources required so that the rigging and lifting operation is carried out safely
- Review critical and non-critical lifting plans, lifting and rigging procedures and contingency plans for critical lifting activities.
- Review routine and non-routine lifting plans, sketches and method statements.
- Responsible for reviewing and approve Lifting Plans.
- Prepare and submit reports to address lifting related concerns.
- Review the rigging team to ensure that Critical Lifting activities are performed safely and comply with Company Procedures and Lifting Plan.
- Ensure that all the lifting gears and lifting equipment are inspected and certified before use and that all lifting equipment used has the required capacity for the safe execution of the lifting operation.
- Ensure that all rigging and lifting activities are planned and executed as per the requirements of relevant procedures.
