Job Description

We are seeking a Senior ITS (Intelligent Transportation Specialist) Engineer to join our innovative team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cutting-edge Intelligent Transportation Systems to enhance urban mobility and support smart city initiatives in the region.


  • Develop and oversee the implementation of advanced ITS solutions for traffic management and urban mobility
  • Lead the design and integration of traffic control systems, including adaptive signal control and connected vehicle technologies
  • Conduct traffic analysis and simulations to optimize transportation network performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complex ITS projects on time and within budget
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and technology partners
  • Stay current with emerging ITS technologies and industry best practices
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and project documentation
  • Ensure compliance with local and international ITS standards and regulations

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in ITS engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Advanced knowledge of ITS technologies, traffic signal timing, and coordination systems
  • Proficiency in traffic simulation software and data analysis tools
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • In-depth understanding of transportation systems, urban mobility, and smart city initiatives
  • Experience in designing and implementing ITS solutions for large-scale transportation projects
  • Familiarity with GIS applications in transportation engineering
  • Knowledge of local and international ITS standards and regulations
  • ITS certifications (e.g., PTOE, IMSA) preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required
