Job Description
- Based on properly authorized customer demand, analyze materials and capacity requirements and communicate constraints to the concerned teams.
- Analyze and plan material requirements by determining the quantity and date materials are needed to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Make comparative cost analyses in order to determine the most effective and efficient options for scheduling, inventory, production, distribution, and transportation.
- Develop and implement supply chain, material management, and logistics plans that may affect the production, distribution, and inventory of finished products in order to enhance product flow.
- Conduct distribution and network studies, monitor inventory and analyze requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates.
- Maintain appropriate records and prepare reports.
- Coordinate supply chain, material management, and logistics activities with internal/external customers.
- Prepare forecasts and analyze trends in manufacturing, sales, distribution, general business conditions and other related areas.
- Participate or lead process effectiveness and continuous improvement projects.
- Implement lean concepts and continuous improvements regarding supply chain, material management, and logistics systems and processes.
- Coordinate the business planning process (S&OP process) involving all the business functions (Sales, Customer Service, Product Development, Production, Warehouse & Shipping, Finance…) to ensure excellent customer service at optimized cost
- Be primarily responsible for capacity planning for the designated product line, coordinates with the operations teams to develop robust supply strategies that will drive improvement in service and cost
- Work with regional Supply Chain Planning teams and the country Demand Planning contacts (who will be charged with capturing and aggregating demand information from the country commercial organizations)
- Initiate and coordinate special Lean/Sigma and Kaizen projects (e.g. Inventory Reduction, Vendor Managed Inventory…) in the designated product line(s)
Qualifications
- Experience in Printing Manufacturing Industry is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Production, Logistics, Business, or related field. 4+ years SML or related experience.
- Product or production process knowledge in Offset, PFL, RFID, Flexo and Thermal preferred
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills and detail-oriented.
- Ability to conduct research, prepare comprehensive reports and present complex statistical information in a clear and succinct fashion.
- Familiarity in process documentation and improvement.
- Ability to interface with cross-functional groups to define and execute overall requirements
- Proficient understanding of the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of Supply Chain, Materials Management, and Logistics and all related focus areas.
- Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and function specific software.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, some macros or script writing skills preferred.
- Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
- Good project management and business partnering skills.
- Green Belt or ELS certification preferred.
