Role Description
As a senior gas trader, you will play a central role in expanding models, developing new trading strategies, managing the portfolio across the curve, and generally having the opportunity to trade both physical and financial products

Responsibilities
- Execute trades across major EU gas markets, focusing on both physical and financial opportunities.
- Optimise storage, transportation, and capacity portfolios to maximise profitability.
- Develop and implement data-driven trading strategies and tools for market analysis.
- Conduct thorough analysis of market fundamentals, logistics, and trends to capitalise on trading opportunities.
- Manage risk and compliance effectively while ensuring adherence to company mandates.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the gas trading desk and identify areas for growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including analytics and operations, to enhance trading performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in European natural gas trading, with a proven track record of success.
- In-depth understanding of gas fundamentals, logistics, and market dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to optimise complex portfolios and identify profitable trading opportunities.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative tools and programming (e.g., Python, R, or Excel VBA).
- A robust network within the natural gas industry.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
