What You’ll Be Doing
  • Oversee and manage critical financial functions, including accounting, taxation, internal controls, cost management, accounts payable, management reporting, and regulatory reporting.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards, incorporating adjustments tailored to crypto-specific requirements.
  • Manage and oversee recharge processes and transfer pricing compliance for the Dubai entity.
  • Lead engagements with auditors and regulatory authorities, ensuring clear financial reporting and fulfillment of statutory audit obligations.
  • Provide financial forecasts and ROI analyses to support business development and strategic decision-making.
  • Localise and adapt the group’s cost management system to align with regional requirements and operational needs.
  • Serve as a key functional leader in navigating and complying with regulatory requirements, including coordination with the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA).
  • Support the entity of local banking infrastructure to facilitate smooth financial operations.
  • Monitor and manage the organisation's working capital and liquidity to maintain financial stability.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define financial goals, develop strategies, and support long-term organizational growth.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring sustainable and secure operations.

What We Look For In You
  • CPA Qualified, Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar
  • Over 9 years of relevant experience in financial services or the crypto industry, specialising in derivatives, futures, options, and perpetual instruments
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS mandatory; and tax regulations
  • Self-starting problem solver, able to self-identify and execute new tasks as they emerge, and solve problems proactively to full completion without significant direction
  • Clear and effective communication skills are critical
  • Understanding of the cost management framework and how to connect it with a systematic AP process
  • The skillset to work within the demands of a fast-paced startup environment
  • Outstanding attention to detail
