Job Description

Purpose:


To provide support to the Manager Learning and Development, to assist in creating, coordinating, conducting Wild Wadi specific training courses and provide any administrative assistance where needed. The Assistant Manager Learning and Development (UAEN) acts as a liaison between Wild Wadi and the Jumeirah Global Learning Centre. 


Main Duties:


  • Assist the Manager Learning and Development in identifying training needs of the business, develop and conduct appropriate training in order to achieve high standards of job performance.
  • Incharge of the Departmental Trainer program; develop Departmental Trainers to ensure that high standards of training are being conducted in Departments.
  • Maintain records of those nominated for courses and ensuring that nominees are informed via HOD, immediately when their course dates are confirmed.  Should nominees not attend, a full follow up should be made & appropriate action taken.
  • Update department’s step by step and documents where appropriate, sending it to the Manager Learning and Development for approval to comply with DMS guidelines.
  • Plan & develop the Training Calendar each month, gain approval from the Manager Learning and Development and then post it on Training's team site in Mercury so all colleagues can view it.
  • Obtain prior approval for any Training expenses from the Manager Learning and Development to ensure effective management of finances.
  • Implement actions following the steps determined by Department Performance Plans in order to achieve department and company goals.
  • Assist with the Talent Management process; keeping department updated on progress, communicating relevant information, etc.
  • Assist with projects as part of Wild Wadi’s learning needs or Wild Wadi’s Engagement Strategy. 

Qualifications, Experience, Skills:


  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Fresh Graduate.
  • Must have a good command of English that is deemed competent.
  • Must have Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good team leadership skills.
  • Able to motivate large groups of people.
  • Good time management skills.
