Senior Events Rigger

Our client is an award-winning technology provider specializing in high profile corporate events ranging from sports, music and lifestyle.

We are currently recruiting experienced audio visual (AV) technicians to join their Dubai team.

The successful candidates will set up, configure, operate and maintain rigging for live events and shows.

Role Summary

• Preparation, cleaning, testing and return of rigging equipment.
• Ensure all rigging equipment is prepped, cleaned and tested prior to load-in and installation.
• Routine maintenance to ensure the equipment is kept in a good, safe and efficient working condition.
• Actively promote safe working methods including safe lifting practices; maintain a safe, clean and hazard-free environment.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in large scale live events rigging with knowledge of load calculations and safe rigging practices working with heavy loads for truss, chains, wire ropes, slings and bolts.
• Expertise in fault-finding, troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.
• Knowledge of automated rigging systems such as MoveCat, CM-ET Lodestar, ChainMaster or Kinesys is a strong advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Education & Certification

• National Rigging Certificate (NRC) and / or IPAF certification is a strong advantage.

Candidate Profile

• Currently living in the United Arab Emirates – must be able to live and work in Dubai.
• Good command of written and verbal English as this is a client-facing role.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team.
