JOB PURPOSE:
Develop and ensure effective implementation of electrical and instrument maintenance programs to improve technical and operational safety, integrity and reliability of the assets and to minimize downtime of the facilities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Specific Accountabilities
• Develop, review, and optimize maintenance programs for Electrical & Instrument equipment and systems through RCM, FMECA and other structured tools to improve plant availability, equipment integrity and minimize cost.
• Develop and implement maintenance execution performance assurance programs with regards to Electrical & Instrument equipment and systems accordingly identify and implement improvement action plans.
• Prepare scope of work, conduct technical evaluation, establish contracts / service orders, prepare method statements, and manage execution of troubleshooting and major planned maintenance activities.
• Review existing maintenance practices and support implementation of innovative & modern methodologies to improve productivity and equipment performance.
• Support in resolving chronic Electrical and Instrument problems through different methodologies of RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
• Provide professional expertise in the technological up-gradation of obsolete Electrical & Instrument systems including assessment, scope preparation and execution of upgradation / modification works in existing facilities.
• Ensure timely identification and availability of tools and critical spare parts required to maintain safe plant and production availability at optimized cost.
• Prepare major shutdown maintenance programs for Electrical & Instrument equipment and systems and integrate activities within plant major shutdown plans.
• Provide technical support for development, implementation, and commissioning of new projects to optimize costs and ensure compliance with applicable standards and best practices.
• Drive the adoption of AI tools such as predictive maintenance programs for Electrical & Instrument equipment and systems to ensure power and control equipment / systems reliability

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
•Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
• Provide input for preparation of the Department / Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical / instrument engineering or equivalent Professional Qualification.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
• 8 to 12 years of experience in maintenance activities for electrical and instrument equipment, within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
• Knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry
• Excellent knowledge of site workflows and plant processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Very good knowledge of verbal and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable
