JOB TITLE: Senior Engineer - Construction (Preservation & Maintenance)


Responsible for:


The Senior / Lead Preservation Engineer is the person who take accountability of the whole preservation tasks and activities. The Lead Engineer Preservation will be assigned by the Constructionteam and deployed during the early phases of design.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Senior / Lead Engineer Preservation on site / yard will report directly to the Project Preservation Manager and dotted line to the Construction Manager on site.


The Senior / Lead Engineer Preservation on site shall be responsible to:


·Implement the Project preservation program throughout the construction and commissioning phase of Project lifecycle from the receipt of equipment / materials till handover to Company in-line with the approved Project Preservation Procedure.


·Leads the preservation engineers on site to ensure effective monitoring of Preservation Program.


·Gather preservation activities information and data for reporting of status updates to project management. Track, monitor and report preservation program KPI’s.


·Liaise with Company, Vendors, Construction Partners / Subcontractors, QA/QC, other discipline heads etc., on all matters regarding preservation and cleanliness.


·Review and approve Subcontractor’s clean-build and preservation plan.


·Finalize and implement the preservation check sheets and inspection test records (P-ITRs); ensuring coverage for all critical equipment and liaise with the Turnover Coordinator to ensure P-ITRS are reflected in Systems Completion electronic database.


·Schedule and execute regular walkthrough and field inspections and capture findings.


·Initiates follow up actions with responsible Supply Chain, Construction, and Commissioning site teams for close out of findings.

The postholder is expected to adhere to the Golden Rules of Safety (transitioning to ‘The 9 Lifesaving Rules in 2020) and the Petrofac Values.


Knowledge & Qualifications:


·7/12+ experience in direct hire construction with an international E&C company including at least 5+ site experience in the oil & gas industry handling preservation


·Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.


·Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following criteria:


·Prior experience working with a diverse international workforce


·Experience in management of preservation of project equipment and materials.


Systems Completion electronic database management system experience.


·Excellent leadership and communications skills


Has knowledge and experience to independently perform, solve complex issues and provide guidance.
