Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
To participate in and advise on all Construction activities and initiatives, including integrated planning and scheduling & reporting. Establish and maintain effective team working with Contractors to ensure the construction work is executed in accordance with ADNOC Offshore project procedures and to the agreed schedule(s). Provide opportunities management support with regard to identification of construction conflicts and issues with respect to island accommodation I construction resources I change management
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Provide effective and practical construction input to ensure construction laity aspects of project execution are adequately considered.
- Ensure that construction hazards and risks are fully considered by Contractors and that the appropriate ate mitigation and actions are implemented during the construction phase
- Ensure, through review and monitoring, that the construction schedules are achievable and that early mitigation of slippage or use of opportunities is identified and appropriate action taken.
- Ensure that construction quality is maintained at an acceptable level, including all required records and tests; thus, ensuring that pre-commissioning, commissioning (where required) and handover are achieved
- Custodian of construction issues & opportunities register.
- Coordinate with all project stakeholders to facilitate the project execution with minimum disruption and hazards to both on-going operations and the Contractors, i.e. interface and SIMOPS.
- Liaise with the Contractors and other Site team groups to ensure timely identification and resolution of construction related problems and conflicts.
- Ensure that efficient and effective communications are maintained between the Contractors and Site Team, ensuring that all reporting requirements are met.
- Develop close working relationships between all assigned offshore/onshore Construction Team members, HSE, QA/QC, Logistics & Drilling teams to provide a consistent approach and effective resolution of issues. Encourage the same degree of cooperation within the Contractors organizations.
- Develop a good team spirit within assigned Site team personnel.

- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section’s / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
- Work according to approved plans, schedules and specifications, technical and professional standards.
External
- Experience with Contractors and worldwide suppliers, in particular those involved in the construction of major
- Responsible for execution of tasks assigned and identify and coordinating company external services to complete tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- B.Sc. or equivalent degree in Engineering from an accredited university/college.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 8 - 9 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry (offshore/onshore) with comprehensive hands-on experience in Construction Engineering
- Good written and verbal communication skills with an ability to work with people across a diversity of cultures
- Good technical team and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems
