SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (OFFSHORE)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in Offshore projects to join our team. The role focuses on the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical systems for Offshore Oil & Gas facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering principles, offshore regulations, and project management within the Oil & Gas sector.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and oversee electrical systems and components for offshore platforms and associated facilities.
• Perform technical evaluations, feasibility studies, and cost estimation for electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies throughout the design and execution phases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical engineers, designers, and project managers to integrate electrical systems with overall project objectives.
• Conduct and review electrical calculations, including load analysis, short circuit studies, and coordination studies.
• Prepare specifications, datasheets, and other technical documentation for procurement of electrical equipment.
• Support commissioning and startup activities, including troubleshooting and resolution of electrical system issues.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably focused on Offshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or similar.
• Knowledge of offshore electrical systems, including power distribution, instrumentation, and hazardous area classifications (e.g., ATEX).
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., NEC, IECEx, API, IEEE).
• Experience in preparing technical reports, specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
