About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Director to join Legal in Corporate. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
 


  • Develop and implement the legal strategy in alignment with the overall business goals of the hotel group.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the legal team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of contracts and agreements, including vendor agreements, partnerships, and client contracts.
  • Provide legal support for real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the hospitality industry.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements, advise on regulatory matters and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee and manage legal disputes, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Manage intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and licensing agreements.
  • Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities and protect and enforce the hotel group's intellectual property rights.
  • Oversee corporate governance matters, including board meetings, governance policies, and compliance with regulatory requirements.


About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


  • 10 years (min) of post-qualification legal experience with leadership responsibilities.
  • Senior role(s) in an in-house legal function with an international luxury hospitality company or a recognized multinational blue-chip organization 
  • Experience of working in an international capacity and a solid understanding of legal and jurisdiction differences across the markets (especially those of the Middle East and Asia).
