Huspy is looking for an experienced Data Modeler to join our innovative Data team. As a Data Modeler, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data architecture by translating business needs into robust data models. Your work will enable our teams to make data-driven decisions with efficiency and accuracy. We’re seeking a candidate with deep domain expertise, up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, and a proactive approach to building scalable data solutions.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business units and data analysts to understand and translate their requirements into scalable, efficient data models that meet our current and future needs.
  • Develop and Maintain Data Models: Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models on the data warehouse platform to support business processes
  • Data Advocacy: Act as a data advocate in discussions with stakeholders, guiding data-driven decisions and fostering a culture of data literacy.
  • Dependency and Project Management: Manage dependencies and timelines effectively, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Optimize Data Systems: Continuously enhance data systems for improved data quality, reliability, and delivery speed.
  • Data Governance Standards: Contribute to establishing data governance standards and best practices across the organization.

The Perfect Match: What you bring


  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data modeling or a similar role.
  • Data Modeling Expertie: Proficient in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, with strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and schemas. 
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills and experience with data manipulation languages like python; familiarity with Snowflake (preferred) or similar platforms.
  • ETL Skills: Strong experience with ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading, ensuring data is clean, accurate, and accessible.
  • Data Management Knowledge: Solid understanding of data management practices and ETL processes, ensuring data is clean, accurate, accessible, and governed.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach to translating complex business requirements into data solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to convey complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and managing relationships with analysts, and data engineering.

  • Experience with Our Tool Stack: Hands-on experience with Tableau, Snowflake, db, and Airflow is a strong plus.
