As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:


  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals for All Day Dining and In-Room Dining (IRD) menus.
  • Follow standardized recipes and portion control procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Prepare ingredients, sauces, and garnishes, ensuring all food items are ready for service.
  • Assist in the setup, cooking, and plating of dishes according to the menu and guest specifications.
  • Ensure all dishes meet the required presentation and taste standards before serving.
  • Conduct regular checks of food items to ensure freshness and proper storage.
  • Work closely with the senior kitchen staff to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Adhere to all health and safety standards, including safe food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Comply with food safety guidelines (HACCP) and personal hygiene policies at all times.
  • Assist in both the All-Day Dining kitchen and the In-Room Dining kitchen, as needed.
  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders for In-Room Dining.
  • Support the team in maintaining an efficient and smooth operation during busy periods.
  • Work closely with chefs, sous chefs, and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Communicate effectively with waitstaff and other departments to ensure food is prepared and served according to guest preferences.
  • Assist with stock rotation and inventory management to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
  • Ensure proper storage of food items and supplies, following company guidelines.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary certification or degree is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a commis chef or entry-level kitchen position within a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred.
  • Experience in All Day Dining and In-Room Dining (IRD) operations is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.
  • Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Passionate about food and cooking with a keen interest in learning.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to handle different kitchen environments (All Day Dining & IRD).
  • Strong work ethic and ability to maintain a positive attitude during busy times.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently when required.
