Job Description
Day to Day Operations:
Taking over the project from Estimation Team, study the scope of works, tenders, correspondences and other contract documents.
Work with Project Management Team to finalize the planning / scheduling, arrange Client offices with required facilities and other services.
Set man-hour targets for the Trades accordance with the applicable Work Breakdown Structure, regularly monitor and update the same.
Attend meetings with Client Representatives, Project Management, job identifications, daily meetings and workshop visits.
In line with the yard’s Change Management Process and Contractual time line, prepare and submit additional tenders / variation proposals, remeasure reports and budget updates to Client and keep them apprised on the project costs.
Maintain cordial relation with our Client, their Client and Project Team.
Negotiate, agree and approve invoices from lump sum subcontractors
Provide constructive feedback to Estimation Team on the tender for future reference
Final discussion with client and agreement with Client and Issue final invoices for payments
Attend Lessons Learnt meetings and disseminate salient points to relevant people in Commercial Dept.
Qualifications:
Degree in Marine, Mechanical or Naval Architecture.
Contract negotiation and administration.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in Shipyard with minimum 5 years in similar position
Costing / Pricing knowledge and experience from a reputable Shipyard / Construction facility with vessels conversion / repairs / New Constructions for Oil & Gas industry.
Familiar with technical requirements related to Conversion / Repair / new Construction scope.
Project Management and Contract negotiation skills.
