The Comms Team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include Snapchatters, advertising partners, content partners, creators, investors, policymakers, and Snap team members. This passionate team works hard to show the world what makes Snapchat the best platform for communication and storytelling, and to ensure the narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling.


We’re looking for a Senior Communications Associate (Fixed Term), Dubai, UAE to join the Communications Team! 


What you will do:


  • Based out of the Dubai office, you will make an important contribution as part of a small MENA Communications team


  • You will be closely working with key stakeholders across the business, and serve as the day-to-day point of contact for comms - covering revenue, consumer and creator comms.


  • Design and deliver strategic and creative communications activities that drive awareness of Snap revenue products, advertising campaigns (luxury, retail, CPG etc.), B2B partnerships, events etc.


  • Proactively identify new comms opportunities across your scope.


  • Ensure the integrations of creators in the MENA region in communication plans to have them amplify on the behalf of Snap.


  • Develop press and social materials (press releases, social media posts etc.), brief spokespeople for communications opportunities, and staff interviews.


  • Manage and support the daily activities of several PR agencies across the region.


  • Manage the day-to-day press office and ensure a healthy pipeline across the year.


  • Stay up to date on industry trends and make recommendations for adjustments to communications strategies and practices.


  • Reporting & occasional comms admin tasks.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Strong written and verbal communications skills in Arabic and English


  • Understanding of the MENA media landscape and culture


  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to experiment in order to learn and identify creative solutions to problems


  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously


  • Ability to build relationships cross-functionally and across different time zones


  • Well organised and proactive


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience


  • 5+ years experience in a similar revenue communications role or media relations role in-house or with agencies for platforms/high tech firms;


  • Native Arabic speaker and fluent in English
