Role : Senior Cloud Engineer Location : Abu Dhabi Role Purpose:
Design, implement, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions.
Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of cloud systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-based projects
Key Accountabilities of the role
Design and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions.
Experience in managing Oracle identity cloud service.
Implement and maintain cloud services and software-defined data center technologies.
Perform routine maintenance and system performance tuning.
Ensure compliance with systems security policies.
Administer public and private cloud systems, focusing on Oracle Cloud.
Manage and control systems to provide IT services according to approved SLAs and OLAs.
Provide 24x7x365 service and resolve any malfunctions to ensure service continuity.
Implement automation for operational tasks after obtaining appropriate approvals.
Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to junior engineers.
Document and maintain processes related to cloud operations.
Provide OCI Infrastructure strategic planning and technical guidance supporting Oracle EBS Applications and Middleware within a cloud environment
Solve complex technical problems that may involve multiple technology layers including database, messaging, operating systems, application servers, and other middleware
Utilize effective communication, technical proficiency, application maintenance ownership, and the ability to work successfully with other business and technology personnel, and internal customers, to provide responsive support and maintenance
Contribute to programs and initiatives designed to advance company strategic priorities
Support the full life cycle spanning installation, configuration, patching, cloning, security, upgrades, user maintenance, troubleshooting, backup management, performance tuning, table space management, data recovery, and disaster recovery planning
Create and maintain documentation
Coordinate with functional teams, developers and clients
Work collaboratively within an Agile development environment
Deliver exceptional service to internal and external clients, partners, and teammates
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field and comparable experience
Knowledge of EBS administration, cloning, cloud infrastructure installation, upgrades, and patching
Oracle Cloud certification.
Familiarity with other automation tools.
Knowledge of containerization tools.
Experience integrating OCI with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Minimum 12 years of IT experience, with 2 years handling Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
