SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer for a field-based role on a significant oil and gas project. This role requires extensive experience on ADNOC projects, where the candidate will oversee all civil engineering activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and ADNOC standards. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to managing construction activities, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring the project is delivered on time.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage the civil engineering team on-site, providing technical direction for all civil works.
• Review and approve design drawings, sketches, and calculations, ensuring adherence to Issued for Construction (IFC) standards and ADNOC regulations.
• Supervise the preparation and review of redline markups and as-built drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Resolve on-site civil engineering challenges related to structures, foundations, and infrastructure components.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure project milestones are met and resolve any on-site issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design, ADNOC safety, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with project management and HSE teams to uphold safety and environmental protocols.
• Participate in key project meetings, including constructability reviews and progress reviews.
• Manage the closing of engineering punch lists during construction and commissioning phases.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and assist with weekly and monthly progress reporting.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Mandatory: Previous experience on ADNOC projects.
• Minimum of 15-18 years of civil engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role on large-scale pipeline projects.
• Proven expertise in managing civil works in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of civil design standards, ADNOC regulations, construction practices, and commissioning processes.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and coordinate with contractors and clients.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to on-site challenges.
