Role Overview:


We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with Asset Management System Implementation Experience to lead the business analysis efforts for the implementation of an Asset Management System.


This role will focus on gathering requirements, mapping business processes, and driving the development of asset data strategies.


The ideal candidate will ensure that the system implementation aligns with business needs, promotes best practices in asset management, and facilitates efficient system adoption.


Please note: Only candidates with strong Asset Management Systems experience will be considered for this role.


Key Aspects of The Role.


  • Influence asset management practices across various departments and shape organization-wide asset lifecycle strategies through the Asset Management System.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of asset management data principles, system capabilities, and balancing stakeholder needs with technical constraints.
  • Directly contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of asset management practices, shaping strategic decisions related to asset lifecycle management.
  • Recommend process improvements, system configurations, and asset management strategies.
  • Advise on asset data standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Requirements Gathering: Lead comprehensive stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather and document business requirements. Develop detailed specification documents, prioritize requirements, and map both functional and non-functional needs. Create use cases and user stories to communicate requirements clearly.
  • Business Process Analysis: Analyze and map current state (as-is) processes, design future state (to-be) workflows, and identify inefficiencies. Propose optimization strategies and conduct gap analyses to align processes with the desired target operating model.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with stakeholders at various levels within the organization. Facilitate collaborative sessions to define business requirements, manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and maintain clear communication for transparency throughout the project.
  • Data Standards Development: Assist in defining asset management data standards and strategies. Document and analyze business requirements for implementing the asset management system and ensuring data consistency across all asset categories.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Develop technical and business documentation, including process maps, system specifications, and requirement traceability matrices. Prepare procurement documents (e.g., RFPs, RFIs), status reports, and performance metrics to track project progress.
  • System Implementation Support: Assist in vendor evaluation and selection by analyzing proposals and providing recommendations. Collaborate with technical teams during system design, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), validate system configurations, and develop user training materials.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, issues, and benefits of proposed solutions, ensuring they are communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Change Management Support: Support change management efforts by developing training materials, facilitating user training sessions, and ensuring smooth transitions to new asset management systems and processes.
  • Data Standard Development: Lead workshops to define, validate, and document asset naming conventions and data standards. Work with the project team to create and enforce data validation rules to ensure consistency and compliance.
