Our client is a leading tech business specializing in AI and Big data, focusing on leveraging and implementing AI tools and cutting-edge technologies. They are looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer (Python, C++) to develop business-specific software components and modules, following design standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Will design business-specific software components and modules using appropriate modelling techniques in Python
Design and communicate multiple views to balance functional and non-functional requirements across stakeholders.
Model or simulate software behaviour for stakeholder approval and smooth construction.
Design, code, test, and document complex programs/scripts and integration services.
Define scope, requirements, and priorities for small-scale changes and assist with larger initiatives.
Follow standards to gather and document detailed requirements.
Assist in selecting development approaches, whether predictive (plan-driven) or adaptive (agile).
Design and execute test cases, mapping to criteria, and report outcomes clearly.
Maintain expertise in database and data warehouse concepts, design, and architecture.
Optimize user experience for speed, scalability, and technical feasibility.
Participate in architecture discussions to understand product architecture and functionality.
Develop reusable code and libraries for future use.
Ensure compliance with QHSE, business continuity, security, privacy, and risk management policies.
Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science
Hands-on experience with Python, API development
Experience in C++ programming.
Experience with Javascript, Big data/Hadoop, and Docker
Ability to collaborate with and mentor junior developers.
Experience with Kubernetes and Cloud Platform's
