Senior Corporate Finance Specialist - 30-35, 000 AED per month
The Senior Corporate Finance Specialist is responsible for managing the drafting and execution of the organization's financial policy, offering necessary resilience on liquidity management, maximizing the EBITDA to free cash flow conversion, managing financial risks and treasury operations, and conducting the strategic, operational, and financial activities to ensure timely and accurate financial management and control. You will be responsible for reviewing and challenging the annual budgetary process and preparation of strategic financial plans. This role is responsible for maintaining relationships with external financial intermediaries such as banks, rating agencies, and funds.
Key Responsibilities:
Treasury Operations
- Maintain treasury policies and procedures to oversee the organisation’s treasury operations.
- Manage debt by monitoring debt levels and rates, performing financial covenant testing, and managing financial intermediaries.
- Manage banking relationships and conduct periodic reviews of banking needs.
- Regularly review bank accounts and their authorized signatories list for better controls.
- Assist in the automation of Treasury Operations through systems implementation.
Liquidity and Cash Management
- Regularly conduct liquidity assessments and propose suitable revisions to liquidity policy in line with changing business needs.
- Monitor cash and liquidity, including daily cash position, banking transaction services, and short-term funding or investment requirements.
Working Capital Management
- Conduct regular reviews of overall working capital needs and work closely with business teams to optimize overall working capital needs.
- Support in improving EBITDA to cash flow conversion ratio and initiate necessary workstreams to avoid any working capital blockage, review of capex plans, and reducing finance costs.
- Assist Head of Treasury in procuring and managing working capital facilities to support liquidity needs.
Corporate Finance
- Contribute to the formulation of the company’s financial strategy, objectives, annual plans, budgets, and policies.
- Assist in developing adequate policies, processes, approaches, and tools for financial management to maintain efficient operational excellence.
- Coordinate strategic financial planning and budgeting.
- Analyze and structure financing options for new projects undertaken by the company based on the financing and funding strategy.
- Assist in assessing the commercial viability and financial impact of any schemes to diversify revenue or opportunities to drive alternative sources of funding, in conjunction with the Finance Manager, General Counsel, CFO, and Corporate Operations Director.
- Actively monitor alternative sources of funding.
- Implement financial risk management policies, including market risk management such as interest rate risk, currency risk, commodity risk, and counterparty credit risk management.
- Report overall exposure to market risks on a regular basis and implement necessary hedging strategies.
- Support the relevant accounting team in implementing hedge accounting and provide necessary assistance in effectiveness testing.
- Support the creation of performance management reports and financial reports on a quarterly basis, providing feedback on areas of success and development.
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Lead the Cash Forecast during Business Plan and forecasting periods, liaise with various stakeholders in ensuring working capital assumptions are captured accurately, reconcile cash with P&L, identify financial risks, and propose solutions.
- Contribute towards ensuring that all relative reports are prepared timely and accurately, as per department requirements, policies, and standards - includes all management, Board, Shareholder, and Regulatory reporting.
- Report on analysis of cash movements with comparisons to budget and forecasts.
Insurance
- Support the development of the insurance policy in line with corporate guidelines and input from the ERM function and ensure compliance.
- Conduct regular reviews of transferable/insurable risks in close consultation with the ERM function.
- Optimize insurance premium costs and manage counterparty risks with reference to insurance companies.
- Monitor any existing/emerging insurable risks within the business in close coordination with business and ERM and BCM functions.
- Actively report critical incidents and oversee claim management with insurance companies/brokers.
- Lead the procurement process for the company’s health, Third Party Liability, and Property All Risks insurance working with brokers.
Standard Responsibilities
- Implement all relevant section policies, processes, and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Execute the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices taking into account ‘international leading practice’ and changes in the business environment and leveraging insights. This includes supporting the related change management efforts.
