Senior Accountant - Remote

We are in search of an ambitious and energetic Senior Accountant to contribute to the growth of our finance team. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, our ideal candidate should have 5+ years of post-graduate accounting experience, possess attention to detail, and be driven to ensure the success of the projects they lead.

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in various exciting projects, focusing on reporting financial performance and metrics, facilitating strategic decision-making through providing the right data, and implementing business performance measurement processes. Your responsibilities will include enhancing the visibility and transparency of the accounting process, and further automating and integrating them across different tools and systems used in the organization.

Mission:

The mission of the Senior Accountant is to ensure that our commercial, operational, and finance teams have access to the right data at the right time to facilitate and contribute to data-driven decision-making.

Accountabilities, Goals, and Outcomes:

• Ensure suppliers, employees, and regulatory authorities are paid on time, every time.
• Lead the on-time and accurate running of the month-end financial closing process.
• Prepare the monthly financial performance reviews.

What You'll Do:

• Contribute to optimizing the cash conversion cycle by managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Execute all general ledger transactions reporting and reconciliations.
• Review all major inventory processes and variances.
• Report on local statutory requirements such as VAT and corporate tax.
• Develop, execute, and maintain the evolution of departmental KPI dashboards.
• Generate monthly financial performance reports and commentary packs 
• Analyze and report on cost driver performance and variances.
• Ensure ERP integrations and features are working accordingly and identify and implement regular process improvements.
• Collaborate with external auditors in carrying out statutory audits.
• Assist in the preparation of financial budgets and forecasts.

What We're Looking For:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and/or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CIMA, ACCA).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a mid-senior role.
• A strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting, and the month-end closing process.
• Proven skills in analyzing financial data to support decision-making.
• Competent in overseeing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to ensure proper functionality and identify opportunities for enhancements or adjustments.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting 
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal to collaborate both internally and externally
• Proven experience in successfully implementing process improvements in accounting processes.
