Senior Accountant – Sharjah, UAE
Job Summary: The
Senior Accountant will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while ensuring accuracy and integrity in all transactions. With experience in the
Glass, Aluminum, Steel industry, or a contracting company, they will play a key role in financial planning, cost analysis, and audit coordination to support strategic decision-making. The role involves managing accounts, tax compliance, and internal controls while optimizing financial processes. Strong analytical skills, leadership, and a proactive approach are essential to ensuring financial stability and regulatory compliance.
Location: Sharjah, UAE
Business Industry: Aluminum & Glass Contracting and Manufacturing Applicants must be currently based in the UAE and ready for immediate joining.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Provide financial insights and reports to support decision-making.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Develop, monitor, and update financial budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze variances and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
• Work closely with department heads to ensure financial alignment with company goals.
Cost Analysis:
• Conduct cost analysis to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
• Monitor expenses and suggest cost-saving measures.
• Ensure cost allocations are accurate and properly recorded.
Accounts Payable/Receivable Management:
• Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Ensure proper reconciliation of accounts and timely settlements.
• Manage cash flow and working capital requirements.
Audit Coordination:
• Lead internal and external audit preparations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory audit requirements and financial regulations.
• Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
Compliance & Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial policies, and corporate governance.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks.
• Stay updated on financial regulations and accounting standards.
Team Leadership:
• Supervise and mentor junior accountants and finance team members.
• Foster a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Provide training and support to enhance the team’s performance.
Financial Systems Management:
• Maintain and improve financial systems and accounting software.
• Ensure data integrity and automation of financial processes.
• Work with IT and other departments to optimize financial reporting tools.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification required.
Experience: 7-10 years of experience in Glass, Aluminium, Steel industry, or Contracting companies.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial reporting, taxation, and cost control in industrial and contracting environments.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic insights.
ERP & Accounting Software: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and accounting software.
Communication & Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and compliance.
