Job Summary  


Rock Petroleum is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing accounts receivable processes, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. 


Job Responsibilities  


• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. 


• Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. 


• Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring budget performance and providing variance analysis. 


• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. 


• Manage accounts receivable processes, including timely follow-ups for overdue payments. 


• Prepare and issue sales invoices based on customer contracts using Microsoft Dynamics D365. 


• Maintain accurate receivable ageing reports and apply the Expected Credit Loss (ECL) model under IFRS 9. 


• Arrange VAT declaration letters for regulatory compliance. 


• Actively participate in customer KYC processes and ensure compliance with internal policies. 


• Prepare and monitor cash flow reports, including forecasted inflows. 


• Track and reconcile provisional invoices versus final invoices and assist with bank reconciliations. 


• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes, performing account reconciliations. 


• Support external auditors during audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements. 


• Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements to enhance accounting processes. 


• Understand and manage credit insurance for receivable risk mitigation. 


Qualifications and Experience  


• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (BCom), CA Inter, MBA, MCom, or partially qualified ACCA candidates are preferred. 


• 8+ years of experience in accounts receivable and credit control, specifically in the oil and gas trading sector. 


• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics D365 and a solid understanding of IFRS 9. 


• Experience with credit insurance management and VAT regulatory compliance in the UAE. 


• Strong control over receivables, regulatory compliance expertise, and effective cash flow management skills. 


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 


• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
