JOB PURPOSE
The Section Head - Media Talent Development is responsible for developing the strategy and roadmap for DPC’s Talent Programs.He/she is responsible for developing programs such as internships, rotation programs and mentorship programs, working with universities, colleges, senior members across GDMO, and other media entities to fulfil this. The Section Head - Media Talent Development is also ultimately responsible for providing training and growth opportunities for young talent within Dubai. He/she is additionally responsible for the development of the Talent Programs Executive(s) team, in both technical and soft skills, using on-the-job training as well as in-person or online classroom training.The role holder is expected to demonstrate leadership skills, team management and carry out his/her duties in accordance with the relevant business policies and procedures.

General Responsibilities
·Develop the strategic roadmap for Talent Programs, in line with the overall GDMO strategic vision
·Work collaboratively with Directors and Managers across GDMO, specifically with regards to developing and providing internship, rotation and mentorship opportunities for talent programs
·Manage the Talent Programs Executive(s) in their day-to-day work, providing technical skills support and direction to ensure smooth and successful delivery of results and strategic projects/initiatives in line with the GDMO strategic vision
·Provide metrics and supporting documents to Strategy and Excellence, to support with the monthly KPI reports
·Develop talent within the Talent Programs team through on-the-job training and other training (online and classroom), covering both technical and soft skills
·Manage the DPC Talent Programs budget, and ensure expenses are tracked and recorded
Talent Programs Strategy
·Develop the strategy and roadmap for Talent Programs, in line with the GDMO vision, to identify, nurture and integrate talent within the media industry through collaborations with universities and colleges
·Identify strategic university and college partnerships to collaborate with on talent programs, internship opportunities, rotation programs and mentorship within the media industry
Talent Programs Relationship Development
·Develop relationships with universities to provide opportunities for training, internships, rotation programs and mentorship for young talent
·Develop relationships with other government entities to provide opportunities for internships, rotation programs and mentorship for young talent
Program Development and Implementation
·Develop programs in collaboration with the selected universities
·Design, develop and implement a rotation program for talent, working with other media entities to provide talent a comprehensive experience through the industry
·Design, develop and implement internship opportunities for talent within GDMO
·Design, develop and implement mentorship opportunities for talent with Directors and Senior Managers across GDMO
·Source and select young talent for the programs, working with universities and colleges to communicate program opportunities with talent so as to attract applications and interest within them
·Manage the young talent development programs by periodically evaluating feedback from all involved parties, including individuals selected for programs, mentors, Directors, Senior Managers, universities, colleges etc

Experience Required
Functional Experience
·A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role
Leadership/Supervisory
·A minimum of 3 years leading and managing teams
Education and Qualification Required
·Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Education, or a related field
