Job Description

  • Manage the import and delivery by coordinating with shipping lines, co loaders, customers or their customs brokers and other relevant parties to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Review shipping and customs documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bill of lading, and customs declarations.
  • Will be required to obtain charges and cargo release details from freight forwarding agents and shipping lines
  • Coordinate with the shipping line and track shipments to update on cargo wise, and to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues prior to arrival
  • Ensure compliance with import laws and regulations by staying updated on changes in customs requirements and assisting with customs clearance procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring any payments due are made in advance of any shipment as required through internal process.
  • You will process all payments and raise necessary paperwork for accounting purposes in line with company requirements.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth deliveries of shipments and make sure invoicing, cost booking are done on timely manner.
  • Archive accurate records of import transactions, including invoices, shipping documents, and BLs on cargo wise.
  • Coordinate with finance and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely payment to vendors by booking the invoice on time. 


Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a similar discipline.
  • Minimum 2 year of working experience in the freight forwarding industry in the UAE (preferably in import).
  • Proficient in all Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word and power point)
  • Excellent communication skills
