The Sales Manager – Groups Business is responsible for driving group sales, developing relationships with key clients, and maximizing revenue opportunities for meetings, conferences, and events. The role requires proactive sales efforts, strategic planning, and collaboration with internal departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to secure group bookings and achieve revenue targets.
- Identify, target, and convert new business opportunities while maintaining relationships with existing clients.
- Manage inquiries, proposals, contracts, and negotiations for group bookings.
- Work closely with the Revenue, Events, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Conduct sales calls, site inspections, and client meetings to promote the hotel’s group offerings.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to adjust sales strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, bookings, and forecasts using the CRM system.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in group sales, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent understanding of revenue management and group booking dynamics.
- Proficiency in hotel sales.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet sales targets, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a results-driven mindset.
